What's on your workdesk Wednesday

I have been really busy with my exams, Brenda's exams etc, so havent had much chance to participate in this, but since things are more settled now, here I am. My desk (the half that you can see anyway) looks quite neat. Not much going on here. You can see the 3 gifts I have got so far from the Advent swap I am involved in. It has been so nice opening a crafty gift each morning.  Otherwise you can see my little turquoise box which will hold my JYC album. The little index cards I am using are for some reason nowhere in evidence, maybe because they are so tiny, lol. On the right hand side of the photo, you can see the start of a huge pile of papers, embellishments, books and other junk that I really need to sort out soon!

What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

This week my desk has 2 books which have been gessoed, waiting for a project. One is for my diet journal and the other one is for the first page of my art journal. This is only my second time using gesso, so it is a learning curve, I never expected it to be quite so thick. Considering it took me about 3 months to do the cover and then about 6 weeks to gesso the first page, dont expect much progress on the art journal in the near future. I was not going to decorate the cover for the diet journal, but decided to bite the bullet and do it since I was getting a bit bored with it. Now, i just need to get the diet off the ground again. You can also see my little tree candleholder that I made last week, it will probably stay right there till Christmas time.

What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

I havent done this for a while, but thought that I would do it this week just to prove that I am still alive. My desk looks reasonably neat, but this photo is taken strategically to block out the piles of stuff on the sides. Here you can see my daughters B for the top of her journal which we have been working on. Her purse (no idea) The believe at the back is also hers, but it was really a project fraught with drama, it worked out in the end though. You can also see my gold piggy bank hiding behind the gesso, as well as some paint dabbers, glitter glue etc. I do have another project which I am working on for the colour project that I found the other day.
