JYC 09 Day 8 -

Moving on from the last past. This is Day 8, which is about the little signs that are there that Christmas is about. This is absolutely one of my favourite prompts, I love seeing everyones pictures and I love seeing mine change but stay the same from year to year. This year we dont have many sights at home as we only decorated the house this afternoon. Even that is not much, as I am worried about what our kittens will do. I managed to get some pictures around the shops though. I forgot just how small 6X6 is though and so I needed to do some cropping and rearranging to fit them all in!
Day 9 is about traditions. THis was my first try at scrapping on a clear acetate page, and I quite liked it, but had to keep reminding myself that everything would show through! I found it difficult to do this page as I have done it twice before, but then I remembered about tracking Santa on Norad last year. Brenda was staying with my sister so didnt get to do it, but I cant wait to do it with her this year!

Day 10, is obviously the back of Day 9. I thought that sticking the paper on with Glitter glue would work, but it smudged a bit and doesnt really shine through like I thought it would. I embossed the acetate on my Cuttlebug which shows up quite nicely in this picture. Just a quick entry about wrapping gifts.

Day 11 is about Christmas Past. Journalling is hidden and is about how the last few Christmasses have not been great, but I have good hopes for this one!

The last page that I have is todays page. First time ever that I have blogged on the day! This is about Christmas Carols. When I saw this paper, which is by Tracy Shimper, I thought it would be perfect for this prompt and bought it specially. Today I realised that it is not actually Christmas Carols, but I used it anyway. My page is a scraplift from one by angiebabe (dont know her address) which I saw on Shimelles prompt. The journalling is the words to a Christmas song written (I think) by Brendas Junior Primary Music teacher, a South African take on Jingle Bells/Rudolph! We love this version and it is quite difficult to sing the proper one now!
